Sacramento CA
I went walking around with only the will to take in the fresh air.
I grabbed a ride, trying to stay away from any of my old habits where I just stick to walking the pavement.
I thought about getting an airbnb room. How about one that is far away from any airport. Before a lot that, I would like to know where the river is located. I looked and found a stretch.
Lastly, there was a plan to find the zoo just as a backup plan. Unlike Texas, I never got to the zoo.
What can I use as a reference even though I have no idea what thevcity is like?
The air was crisp, as I always remember California to be. I was at only a few places there in the past.
Walking down a residential street, I took a whiff of burnt wood. I had thought for a second that the wildfires were getting close to me. My imagination is biased, as it is easier to see.
I was really quiet. Iwanted to walk a little bit. Not getting a chance to walk as much was maybe a good thing.
I noticed the songs coming from a car felt really 1950s to me. That's no different than what I'm used to, is it? So now I'm just so hyper-aware of it.
I only interacted with a store clerk.
I visited a yellow bridge.
I found myself upon an old train in Old Sacramento. I was excited to see that train. It was a steam train and I remember having a toy one as a child. The real one is way bigger than I thought. So I stood there a while looking at just the size of the bolts that I can only imagine hold it together where it is just wanting to burst with steam.
I found connections to the UC Davis campus and other campuses. I thought it was a high school stadium when I was walking around a state university.
I walked around many circular walkways, trying to get to a point where I could go to sleep. I was really fixated on what I was going to try and eat at that point.
I had gotten a ride into town. I was dropped right into the city center where I got to walk somewhere close to 12th street.
